Call Spoofing Notice
Our judges and staff have received reports that people are getting phone calls that appear to come from our official numbers. These calls are the result of caller ID spoofing.
Spoofing is a common technique in which someone uses technology to make a call display a different phone number than the one actually placing the call. Spoofers can make almost any number appear on caller ID, including the numbers of courts, judges, and court staff.
We cannot prevent our phone numbers from being spoofed.
If you receive an unexpected call that appears to come from one of our numbers:
Do not assume it is genuine.
Do not provide personal or financial information.
Hang up and contact the court or the individual directly using a phone number you know is legitimate (for example, the number listed on our official website).
We take these reports seriously and encourage anyone who believes they have been targeted by a spoofed call to report it to the appropriate authorities.
